Jane Addams Day

On May 21, 2006 (the 71st anniversary of Ms. Addams’ death) Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich signed House Bill 5243, designating December 10th as Jane Addams Day throughout the State of Illinois. This legislation goes into effect on January 1, 2007.
