Breast Cancer Awareness
Most of us in the social work profession are women. So I’d like to remind everyone that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and October 20, 2006 is National Mammography Day. The National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund has a page with resources for accessing care if you or someone you know is unable to afford medical care.
Have you ever heard of Inflammatory Breast Cancer? It’s a killer. It’ll challenge what you think you know about the symptoms of breast cancer. And it’s something most women don’t know anything about. You can find out more here. Please help educate the women in your life about Inflammatory Breast Cancer and it’s warning signs. You just might save a life!
